Updated: flydubai resumes scheduled operations

UAE carrier flydubai has announced resumption of operations across its network with a "reduced schedule" on Thursday, March 5.

In a statement sent to ARN News, the airline said it continues to "update its schedule and adding more flights as airspace restrictions are lifted".

The airline added that "flight durations may be longer than usual due to the temporary rerouting of some flight paths".

Passengers are reminded not to head to the airport unless they have a confirmed booking or official confirmation of a rebooked flight.

"Customers connecting through Dubai on the flydubai network will only be accepted for travel to their origin if the connecting flight is operating," the airline added.

What passengers need to know

  • Check Flight Status for the latest information before heading to the airport.
  • Flights are available to book on flydubai.com, the flydubai Contact Centre in Dubai at (+971) 600 54 44 45, the flydubai Travel Shop, or via the respective travel agents.  
  • Customers are advised to ensure that their contact details are up to date by visiting Manage your booking.
  • Customers booked to travel between February 28 and March 31 have the option to rebook on an alternative flight to the same destination up to 30 days from the original travel date with no penalty charges.
  • Customers who booked their flight with a travel agent are required to contact them for rebooking or refund options.
