A UAE health expert has welcomed the news of the free COVID-19 vaccine rollout in Dubai, advising people to get inoculated.
Speaking on DubaiEye 103.8's Business Breakfast, Dr Howard Podolsky, Group CEO of the Cambridge Medical and Rehabilitation Centre in Abu Dhabi, said the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is very effective and added that the Sinopharm jab is a good choice too.
He underscored that allergic reactions to the vaccines have been limited to people with anaphylactic proclivities.
Concerns about the variant that's been spreading in the UK were also addressed during the interview. Dr Podolsky said the evidence suggests that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine should still be effective against the more contagious variant of the virus.
In summing up, his message was clear - everyone should get vaccinated for the good of the community to help in the fight against the pandemic.
