A new digital platform has been unveiled, designed to connect citizens, residents and visitors with a wide range of activities across Dubai.
Building on the success of the #MyDubai initiative, which was launched in 2014 to showcase the lives and experiences of people in Dubai, the new platform will help strengthen community ties and promote tolerance.
MyDubai Communities will allow users to explore local events and groups centred around culture, arts, sports, wellness and other shared interests.
"The true measure of a city’s success is not limited to its architecture and infrastructure alone, but also its vibrant soul and the strength of its community bonds," said His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, who announced the new initiative.
Accessible at mydubaicommunities.com and through @mydubaicommunities on Instagram and TikTok, the platform brings together diverse communities under one unified umbrella.
The launch comes as the UAE celebrates 2025 as the Year of Community, a national initiative focused on fostering collaboration and belonging.
In its initial phase, MyDubai Communities offers access to around 100 interest-based groups, helping users connect with others who share their passions.
The platform’s simple and user-friendly design allows easy navigation, making it quick to join or create community groups and further enhance connections across Dubai’s diverse population.
