His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has opened the World Health Expo Dubai, the world’s leading healthcare exhibition.
The event is being held for the first time at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai and runs until February 12.
Sheikh Mohammed said developing the healthcare sector remains a national priority, centred on people and quality of life.
He added that Dubai’s hosting of the exhibition reinforces the UAE’s role as an international hub for shaping the future of healthcare, bringing together global stakeholders under a shared vision focused on prevention, preparedness and improved quality of life.
The event is expected to attract more than 235,000 specialised visitors from over 180 countries, with more than 4,800 exhibitors showcasing the latest developments in medical devices, diagnostics, digital health, biotechnology and life sciences.
During a tour of the exhibition, Sheikh Mohammed reviewed advanced medical technologies and innovative healthcare solutions, and visited the pavilions of leading international companies and national healthcare entities.
World Health Expo Dubai 2026 (WHX Dubai) is the largest edition in the event’s five‑decade history and features expanded exhibition space, an enhanced conference programme and new initiatives aimed at strengthening healthcare collaboration.
Several accredited medical conferences also began today, offering continuing education across key medical specialties.
The expo forms part of a city‑wide healthcare programme, running alongside WHX Labs, the region’s leading laboratory and diagnostics event, further reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global centre for healthcare innovation.
