His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, has, on World Environment Day, re-emphasised the UAE's commitment to protecting the environment.
On social media platform X, His Highness said the UAE will implement agreed environmental policies and plans and urged the international community to enact "all the pledges made in the recent historic UAE Consensus at COP28".
He also wrote that they were renewing the "call to the younger generations to make all efforts to ensure (the world's) sustainability...because environmental sustainability is sustainability for development and a guarantee of civilisational progress for humans."
