The pilot stage for the 'Distance Learning Initiative' will start on Wednesday in the UAE.
According to the Ministry of Education, the programme only applies to government schools across the country.
The initiative will allow students to learn using an interactive e-platform from the comfort of their homes.
Ministry officials also clarified that teachers will be delivering the educational content, which will be provided online, from school classrooms.
The first day of the initiative, which begins on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, will target students in grades six through nine.
Meanwhile, high school students from grades 10 to 12 will be receiving their online sessions on Thursday.
Parents have also been directed by the ministry to create adequate learning environments at home for their children by providing them with internet services, computers, tablets, and smartphones.
