Italian President Sergio Mattarella is set to begin a state visit to the UAE on Tuesday and hold talks with President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Both sides are set to explore various aspects of bilateral cooperation between the UAE and Italy, particularly in the economic and development sectors, within the framework of their strategic partnership.
His Highness had previously announced plans to invest $40 billion in Italy, with over 40 agreements signed during an official visit to Rome in February 2025.
The UAE leader had met with Italian President and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and attended the High-Level UAE-Italy Business Forum.
He also awarded Mattarella the 'Order of Zayed', the UAE's highest civilian honour for world leaders and heads of state.
