Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, has become the latest senior government official to receive the COVID-19 trial vaccine.
Al Gergawi said the UAE has demonstrated its ability to deal with the pandemic efficiently thanks to the leadership's directives.
He also stressed the role of the health sector and medical personnel's efforts to address the pandemic.
Last month, authorities in the UAE approved the vaccine for emergency use following successful trials, which involved 31,000 volunteers from 125 different nationalities.
