The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) contributed AED 1.8 billion in 2023 to help 111 million people in 105 countries.
In a post on social media platform X, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, confirmed the figures, saying, "Today, I witnessed the annual ceremony of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives and we reviewed the annual report of the Foundation’s work.
"Total spending during the year amounted to AED 1.8 billion and the number of beneficiaries of the Foundation’s programs is 111 million people in 105 countries. The journey of goodness continues and our resolve in humanitarian work is firm and our country will remain a beacon of goodness and giving, God willing."

The figures were also announced during an event at Dubai Opera during which Sheikh Mohammed chaired the meeting of the initiative's board of trustees and reviewed the 2023 annual report.
The ceremony also highlighted the progress of this year's Mother's Endowment Campaign.
The number of beneficiaries increased by nine billion, from 2022, over five countries.
