There’s no scientific evidence indicating that wearing masks could cause any harmful side effects, but there are certain hygiene practices that all of us have to follow.
That’s the message from Dr. Farida Al Hosani, the official spokesperson of the UAE health sector.
She’s reminding everyone to make sure that disposable masks are not reused, while reusable ones have to be cleaned thoroughly and replaced when they are worn out.
During a media briefing on Saturday, Dr. Farida also reassured residents that home nursing staff are tested regularly to ensure that they are free of any symptoms.
However, she advised families not to change their caregivers, while they must also ensure that elderly people and people of determination are screened for COVID-19 on a regular basis.
