Dubai Police have praised the exceptional contribution of volunteers who supported crowd management and organisation during the New Year’s Eve celebrations, describing their efforts as vital to the safe and smooth running of one of the city’s largest annual events.
Over 3,100 people registered to volunteer, with 2,479 selected to assist across 15 key locations.
Representing 45 nationalities, they supported police operations, guided visitors and provided valuable feedback to improve future events.
Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness at Dubai Police, commended the volunteers for their professionalism and high morale, saying it reflects Dubai’s strong community spirit.
Captain Saeed Al Ketbi, Director of the Community Relations Department, added that the Dubai Police volunteering platform runs year-round, offering structured opportunities that support security, traffic and awareness initiatives.
