More than 7,300 tonnes of diverse relief aid have officially arrived at the Gaza Strip through the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Humanitarian Ship.
Around 40,000 families have benefited from the aid since the ship's arrival, with distribution operations being carried out out across camps, shelters and families in all areas of the Strip.
The cargo includes the 10 million meals provided by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiative (MBRGI), which had been packed by the UAE community through a drive on December 7.
The aid shipment also comprises of winter clothing, tents and shelter materials, as well as nutritional supplements for children and women in response to the escalating humanitarian needs in the territory.
The ship departed from Khalifa Port (KIZAD) as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, within the framework of the UAE’s continued humanitarian efforts to support Palestinians and alleviate the suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip.
