Drones could be seen flying over Sharjah on Friday as a part of the massive COVID-19 awareness programme.
The multilingual campaign included broadcasting messages through police patrols and drones besides monitoring compliance with COVID-19 preventive measures.
As many as 35 sites were covered, including industrial zones and mosque courtyards.
The campaign also urged the public to take the vaccine and prevent the spread of the pandemic. The initiative was launched by the local emergency crisis and disaster team in Sharjah and the Air Wing Department of the General Directorate of Security Support at the Ministry of Interior.
