Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has welcomed the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, expressing hope that it contributes to enhancing security and stability in the region.
Sheikh Abdullah also commended the efforts made by US President Donald Trump in this regard, national news agency Wam reported.
He also emphasized that diplomacy and dialogue are the best means to build bridges of trust and establish lasting peace that fulfills the aspirations for stability, development and prosperity.
Sheikh Abdullah congratulated the two countries for reaching the agreement and stressed the strong historical ties they share with the UAE.

It comes after a fourth day of strikes and counter-strikes against each other's military installations.
