Students in Dubai will soon be able to get a 'Social Media Influencers' diploma.
From September, the American University in Dubai (AUD) will offer a six course diploma programme on how to make a living on social media.
The initiative aims to train social media influencers on how to produce effective content on social media platforms like Instagram and Snapchat.
Students at AUD's Mohammed bin Rashid School for Communication will be taught everything from how to establish a strong presence online to the importance of developing a strategy.
The university says the coursework was developed by an elite group of professors from faculties like mass communication, journalism, and media innovation.
