Spain's Prime Minister has thanked the UAE for evacuating Spanish citizens from Afghanistan.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received a telephone call on Saturday from Pedro Sánchez, who expressed his gratitude for the UAE's efforts.
Several members of diplomatic missions of friendly countries were also evacuated. 
Moreover, Sheikh Mohamed and Sánchez discussed developments related to a number of issues of mutual concern.
