Two hikers who were stranded in Ras Al Khaimah's Wadi Quda'ah have been airlifted to safety.
A search and rescue operation was launched by the Ras Al Khaimah Police who received an emergency call on Wednesday afternoon.
The trekkers, aged 16 and 17, were tracked down in a rugged mountainous area with one of them suffering from extreme heat exhaustion.
He was given the necessary first-aid and the pair were later transferred to Saqr Hospital for further examination.
