Two people have been killed and four others injured in an accident on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road on Thursday.
According to the Dubai Police, a pick-up van crashed into a truck that was parked on the second lane of the highway following a tyre burst.
The accident took place at 5:30 am.
"Any driver who has a flat tyre must move their vehicle to the hard shoulder to avoid accidents," said Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, director-general of the Dubai Police's traffic department.
