The UAE continues to make steady progress in the United Nations Development Programme's rankings on gender equality.
The country advanced four positions to seventh place in the world and also maintained its first place regionally in the latest report.
The index evaluates aspects related to three main indicators - workforce participation, women's empowerment and reproductive health.
Denmark, Norway and Switzerland head the overall rankings.
