A UAE aid convoy has reached the Gaza Strip for the first time since the closure of the Rafah border crossing in May.
Trucks loaded with 80 tonnes of relief materials entered the enclave via the Karam Abu Salem border crossing.
The aid convoy is part of the UAE's Operation 'Chivalrous Knight 3' to assist the people of Gaza.
The latest batch of humanitarian assistance includes tents, food parcels, dates and other vital supplies.
The closure of the Rafah crossing on May 6, 2024, had halted land aid provisions, worsening the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and leading to shortages of food and essential supplies.
