Since the start of the Iranian attack, the UAE’s defence forces have detected 137 ballistic missiles and 209 drones launched towards the country.
Authorities say 132 of the 137 missiles were destroyed, while five fell into the sea.
Of the 209 drones detected, 195 were intercepted and 14 landed within the country’s territory and waters, causing minor material damage.
Debris from the interceptions fell in separate areas, damaging some civilian facilities.
Officials say emergency procedures were activated immediately to secure affected sites and ensure public safety.
The Ministry strongly condemned the attack, calling it a serious escalation and a violation of national sovereignty and international law, and affirmed the UAE’s right to take all necessary measures to protect its territory and people.
