The UAE government has officially declared Friday, June 27, as a holiday for the public sector, marking the first day of the Islamic New Year.
In a post on social media platform X, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced that the Hijri New Year holiday will be on Friday, June 27.
