UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has held talks with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to discuss expanding cooperation under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed between the two countries last year.
Welcoming Albanese to Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed praised the steady growth of UAE-Australia relations and highlighted future-focused sectors such as investment, renewable energy, sustainability and education as key areas for collaboration.
Marking 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations, the leaders also exchanged views on regional and global developments.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed appreciation for Australia’s recognition of the State of Palestine, calling it a step toward lasting peace based on a two-state solution.
