The UAE has strongly condemned Israeli forces targeting thousands of Palestinians waiting for an aid delivery in the Gaza Strip, leaving more than 100 dead.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), expressed its deep concern over the humanitarian catastrophe that targeted innocent civilians.
The UAE has called for an independent and transparent investigation, and the punishment of those responsible.
The Ministry also emphasised the need to halt military escalation and secure an immediate ceasefire, protect civilians and ensure prompt, safe, and sustainable delivery of aid.
The Ministry further stressed the importance of the full and urgent implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution that focuses on the "protection of civilians and distribution of aid", and "humanitarian pauses and corridors in Gaza".

There are conflicting reports of the incident with Israel blaming the deaths on crowds that surrounded aid trucks, saying victims had been trampled or run over.
