The UAE and Egypt have discussed the latest regional developments, with a focus on the situation in Gaza and ongoing peace efforts.
The talks took place during a phone call between His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty.
During the call, the two ministers reviewed the overall regional situation, including developments in the Gaza Strip and related peace initiatives.
They stressed the importance of moving forward with the implementation of the second phase of US President Donald Trump’s plan for Gaza, and reaffirmed support for the Palestinian national committee tasked with administering the territory.
The discussions also covered regional and international efforts to promote lasting security and stability, alongside strengthening the humanitarian response to the needs of the people of Gaza.
A number of other issues of mutual interest were also discussed, reflecting the strong fraternal ties between the UAE and Egypt.
