Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President, opened the second day of the 50th year celebration of UAE-Egypt ties, highlighting the role the two nations have played in building Arab strategic depth.
During his opening address, Dr Gargash highlighted how the Emirati-Egyptian relations have continued to grow in strength despite "the tensions the region has gone through" and explored how it contributes "to building Arab strategic depth".
The agenda included a number of sessions in which a group of ministers, officials, and media personalities discussed common history, cultural relations and media cooperation aiming to strengthen the strong partnership between two countries.
During the main session of the culture forum, Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth in the UAE, and Nevin Al Kilani, Minister of Culture in Egypt, affirmed the importance of cultural exchange and its positive role in consolidating relations between countries and people.
The forum also highlighted the most important milestones in the UAE-Egypt relationship in the field of media, culture and arts. The day witnessed a series of sessions on sports, media and cultural topics, as well as a number of dialogues and discussions with Emirati and Egyptian diplomats, and a group of media professionals from the government and private sectors in the two countries.
