UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a message of condolences to Pakistan's President Arif Alvi after flash floods and landslides left several dead in the country.
According to Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority, at least 80 have been killed and over 140 injured since the monsoon season started to wreak havoc in the country in late June, affecting up to 1 million people.
Sheikh Mohamed also wished those injured a speedy recovery.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, also dispatched similar messages to the Pakistani leader.
