UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has extended his condolences to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, on the passing of Prince Alwaleed bin Khalid bin Talal Al Saud.
Known to many as Saudi Arabia’s “Sleeping Prince”, Prince Alwaleed passed away after spending 20 years in a coma following a car accident in 2005.
Born in April 1990, he was the eldest son of Prince Khalid bin Talal Al Saud and the nephew of billionaire investor Prince Alwaleed bin Talal.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, also offered their condolences.
Furthermore, condolences were expressed by the rulers of Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Qaiwain and Ras Al Khaimah.
Prince Alwaleed was remembered across the Arab world as a symbol of patience, hope and enduring faith.
