His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has hailed the country's achievements at the Global Soft Power Index 2022.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, Sheikh Mohammed said the "real power of the UAE lies in its development model that unites the East and the West", bringing together "people of all cultures without discrimination".
The new global report, which surveyed 100,000 people in 101 countries, ranked the UAE first regionally and 10th globally.
The UAE ranked as the 1st regionally and 10th globally in overall influence in the 2022 Global Soft Power Index and as the 15th soft power globally.
The UAE’s soft power lies in its ability to bring people together to create the world's greatest opportunities for development.
The UAE’s overall Soft Power score improved more than 11 per cent, making a progress to 15th place globally, up from the 17th it achieved in 2021.
The UAE's performance in the 2022 Index had many core strengths, including its distinguished position as a leading destination for business and trade, within a stable economic environment.
