The UAE has successfully mediated the exchange of 190 war captives between Russia and Ukraine.
It's the sixth such prisoner swap deal to be brokered by the Emirates since the start of this year.
A total of 1,558 prisoners have now been exchanged between Russia and Ukraine through UAE mediation efforts.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed its appreciation to the governments of Russia and Ukraine for their cooperation with the UAE’s mediation efforts, which come less than a month after the previous exchange process.
It also affirmed the UAE’s commitment to continuing all efforts aimed at finding a peaceful solution to the conflict, stressing the importance of dialogue and de-escalation as the only ways to resolve the crisis, and for mitigating its humanitarian repercussions.
