UAE pilot Shareef AlRomaithi has completed a NASA project having left the HERA habitat after 45-day phase 2 of the UAE Analog Programme’s 2nd analog study.
The study has seen the Emirati simulating a manned mission to Mars, during which time AlRomaithi conducted 18 scientific experiments.
In his first picture since leaving the capsule, posted on social media by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre Space Centre (MBRSC), the UAE pilot is accompanied by Adnan AlRais, Assistant Director General, Space Operations and Exploration Sector, MBRSC and the UAE Analog Programme’s team.
In a tweet the MBRSC said: "Highlights following the egress of analog crewmember Shareef AlRomaithi from the HERA habitat after completing the 45-day phase 2 of the UAE Analog Programme’s 2nd analog study."
