UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Indonesian Defence Minister and President-elect, Prabowo Subianto, at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
During the meeting, they discussed enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in defence, and explored mutual interests in regional and global affairs.
Subianto conveyed greetings from Indonesian President Joko Widodo, with wishes for UAE's progress. In return, Sheikh Mohamed extended best wishes to President Widodo and Indonesia.
Congratulating Subianto on his recent election victory, Sheikh Mohamed expressed support for Indonesia's future.
The UAE President also honoured Subianto with the Order of Zayed for his contributions to UAE-Indonesia cooperation and relations. Subianto expressed gratitude for the recognition and hoped for continued growth.
