UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan made a working visit to Tirana, where he met with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in sectors such as renewable energy and technology.
The two leaders also explored opportunities to deepen bilateral cooperation in areas such as the economy, trade and food security.
They reviewed the growth of UAE-Albania ties and exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual interest. Both leaders emphasised the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving global conflicts and stressed the need for greater international collaboration to promote peace, stability and security.
During the visit, Prime Minister Rama awarded Sheikh Mohamed the ‘Benemerenti’ medal - the highest civilian honour bestowed by the Albanian Prime Minister - in recognition of his role in advancing UAE-Albania relations across various fields.
The meeting was attended by senior officials and ministers from both sides.
