UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has met with Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa during his working visit to the UAE.
The two leaders held talks at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, where they discussed strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in development and economic cooperation.
They also exchanged views on key regional issues, stressing the importance of peace, security and stability across the Middle East.
Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s support for the Syrian people and their aspirations for stability and progress.
Al-Sharaa thanked the UAE for its continued support and praised the strong, fraternal relationship between the two nations.

Anwar Gargash, diplomatic adviser to the UAE President, said the meeting "embodies the depth of fraternal ties" and reflects the UAE’s firm commitment to Syria’s recovery at this pivotal stage.
Posting on social media, Gargash praised the success of the 400,000-strong Syrian community in the UAE as a key driver of future collaboration.
