The public in the UAE are reminded to refrain from using emergency lines for non-emergencies, as it overburdens the system.
In an interview with Dubai Eye 103.8's The Agenda, Ahmed Al Hajeri from National Ambulance UAE, highlighted the type of time-wasting calls operators receive on a regular basis, including one - notably - where a man requested emergency assistance for his pregnant cat.
He added that the calls increased rapidly during the pandemic
