The UAE rescue team has carried out 18 aerial operations using two Black Hawk helicopters as they work alongside Albanian authorities in containing raging wildfires in the country.
The UAE emergency crew also carried out 359 water drops, which is an aerial firefighting tactic to deliver water directly onto flames and hot spots.
According to national news agency Wam, the UAE team is working towards limit the spread of the wildfire despite soaring temperatures and difficult terrain.

Regular meetings are held between the UAE and Albanian teams to accelerate firefighting operations, while ensuring the flames don't spread.
The UAE team started the firefighting operations in Albania's Gramsh forest area and neighbouring regions on August 11, following the directives of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
