UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan spoke to President of Slovenia Dr. Natasha Berk-Musar where she condemned the ongoing Iranian attacks against the UAE and countries of the region, which target civilians, civilian facilities and infrastructure.
It is agreed that these incidents represent a violation of the sovereignty of these countries, international laws and norms and undermine regional security and stability.
President Berk-Musar affirmed Slovenia’s solidarity with the UAE and its support for all measures taken to defend its security and stability and ensure the safety of its territory, citizens and residents, praising the UAE’s management of the crisis.
During the call, the two sides discussed developments in the security situation in the region in light of the military escalation it is witnessing and its repercussions on regional and global security and peace, and its serious effects on international navigation security and the global economy.
Both sides stressed the need for an immediate halt to military escalation and for prioritizing serious dialogue and diplomatic means in addressing the region’s outstanding issues in a way that preserves its security and stability and spares it further tensions and crises.
The call also addressed various aspects of cooperation and opportunities for its development, emphasizing the shared commitment to continue supporting bilateral relations in a way that enhances the mutual interests of both countries, serves their development priorities, and brings prosperity and growth to their people.
