The 'UAE stands with Lebanon' campaign has successfully concluded, raising nearly AED 190 million and collecting 6,000 tonnes of relief materials.
Launched by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in October 2024, the campaign ran until January 6, aiming to support Lebanon's recovery from its humanitarian crisis, including aid for those displaced to Syria.
The initiative saw the involvement of around 23 Emirati humanitarian organizations in collecting relief aid across various emirates.
Over the past three months, 22 planes and two ships were dispatched, delivering essential supplies such as food, medical aid and shelter materials, in coordination with Lebanese and international bodies like the World Health Organisation, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
