The UAE will chair the Arab League’s Permanent Committee for Legal Affairs.
This comes after the Council of the League of Arab States approved the appointment of Ambassador Abdullah Hamdan Al Naqbi, the UAE’s candidate.
Al Naqbi will commence his duties as chairman from Wednesday, March 3, and will remain in his position for two years, which can be renewed only once after completing his term.
The decision came at the end of the 155th session, which was held today at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.
