The UAE has reiterated its firm rejection of allegations made by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) after the UN Security Council's report cleared it of any wrongdoing.
Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President, said the UN report "refutes the Sudanese military's false allegations against the UAE, a systematic disinformation campaign aimed at evading responsibility".
Instead, it "exposes violations against civilians by the warring parties (Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and SAF)," he added.
"We renew our call for an immediate and unconditional cessation of hostilities, serious engagement in peace talks, facilitation of humanitarian assistance, and support for the establishment of an independent civilian government that fulfills the aspirations of the Sudanese people," Gargash added.
In a statement, UAE Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Mohamed Abushahab, dismissed the SAF’s repeated claims as “baseless,” suggesting they are an attempt to deflect attention from their own documented abuses, including alleged use of chemical weapons.
“This report provides no support for the SAF’s unsubstantiated accusations. It does not make a single finding against the UAE,” he added.
The report by the UN Panel of Experts highlights grave violations by both the SAF and RSF, including indiscriminate airstrikes, attacks on civilians, sexual violence, and the weaponisation of humanitarian aid.

Abushahab reiterated the UAE’s call for both warring parties to end the conflict unconditionally, commit to peace negotiations, and ensure unhindered access to humanitarian assistance.
“The international community must unify behind a credible political process that leads to a civilian-led government and lasting peace for the Sudanese people,” he added.
