The Union Association for Human Rights has praised the UAE for providing humanitarian aid, including food, water and medicine and healthcare to civilians and the wounded in countries and areas of armed conflict.
In a statement published on the United Nations website, the society hailed the UAE’s role and influence towards other countries regarding the protection of civilians.
The society also lauded the major initiatives and projects led by the UAE that contributed to strengthening humanitarian support efforts in conflicted areas around the world, and expressed its appreciation for the support efforts to countries and UN bodies.
The remarks came via a written statement issued by the society, in cooperation with the Arab-European Forum for Dialogue and Human Rights, under the fourth item on the agenda of the meetings of the International Council for Human Rights.
