A new mountain-top tourist attraction has opened in Khor Fakkan just in time for the Eid Al Adha break.
Al Suhub Rest Area sits nearly 600 metres above sea level and offers sweeping views of the eastern coast.
His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated the facility on Thursday.
The 10,250 sq.m. project also includes a restaurant, cafe, children's play area, prayer rooms and other facilities for visitors.
About 8,700 trees have been planted in the area.
Dr. Sheikh Sultan also opened a 3km mountain path that connects the Rest House with Al Rafisah Dam.
