The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued rain alerts for parts of the UAE and advised those in the Northern and Eastern emirates to stay away from flash flood areas.
Posting on social media the NCM said: "Precautions should be taken in case of rainfall over some Eastern and Northern areas, and advised to stay away from flash flood areas and areas of accumulated rain."

The NCM also issued an alert advising of light to moderate rain over Wadi Ghalilah in Ras Al Khaimah.
The Abu Dhabi Police also issued a warning on Tuesday to motorists as rain caused a change in usual speed limits. The department posted saying: "Police call on motorists to exercise caution due to the rainy weather and to follow the changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards. Drive Safely"
