The Formula 1 season kicks off in Australia this weekend, setting the stage for a championship battle that will unfold across 24 races before reaching its conclusion at the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (December 4-7) at Yas Marina Circuit.

The 2025 season begins with major storylines. Lewis Hamilton making his Ferrari debut, a moment that has drawn global attention as Tifosi fans fill Albert Park.

Alongside him, six rookies line up on the grid, marking a generational shift in the sport with pre-season testing in Bahrain indicating that McLaren Racing and Mercedes-AMG Petronas might be early title contenders, while Ferrari and Red Bull face a fight to close the performance gap.

The first race in Melbourne will provide the first real glimpse of the season’s pecking order, with the high-speed corners and technical demands of Albert Park testing both driver skill and car development.

As the calendar progresses, momentum will build across street circuits, high-pressure battles, and worldwide tracks before the championship reaches its climax in Abu Dhabi.

Off the track, Formula 1’s growing cultural influence continues to expand. The latest season of Drive to Survive launched weeks ago, further fuelling global interest in the sport.

Meanwhile, the official trailer for Brad Pitt’s upcoming Formula 1 movie dropped this week, capturing Hollywood’s vision of the high-stakes world of Grand Prix racing.

The film, set for a June 2025 release, has already generated significant buzz and is expected to bring new audiences into the sport.

With 192,000 fans attending the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Yas Marina Circuit remains a defining venue in Formula 1.

The World Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships could be decided under the floodlights, as teams bring their final upgrades to the track for one last battle.

Yas Marina has previously seen historic moments, from last-lap title deciders to legendary send-offs, and the 2025 edition could deliver yet another unforgettable conclusion.

Beyond racing, Abu Dhabi offers fans an immersive experience, with access to Louvre Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan, and Yas Island’s adventure parks.

The Yasalam After-Race Concerts will return, featuring global artists and expanding the spectacle beyond the circuit.
