America's Sofia Kenin has ended Coco Gauff's remarkable Australian Open run.

She defeated the teenage sensation 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 6-0 in Melbourne.

"I was just fighting... She played some good points at crucial moments but I just had to calm down and relax," Kenin said.

She'll next play either Ons Jabeur of Tunisia or No. 27-seeded Wang Qiang.

Meanwhile, seventh seed Petra Kvitova has secured a spot at the quarter finals after defeating Maria Sakkari 6-7 (4-7) 6-3 6-2.
