The world’s largest video gaming competition for women is coming to our shores.
Dubai will host the finals of the 2019 GIRLGAMER Esports Festival from December 12-14.
The event at Meydan One is going to be the culmination of a year-long six-stage series.
Participants will compete in the games CounterStrike Go and League of Legends.
More than 20 million people are expected to watch the live stream globally.
Hosted for the first time in the Middle East in association with the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), the Festival further reinforces Dubai’s status as a leading destination for digital content development, with esports one of the key focus sectors.
Gaming revenues in the UAE are estimated to have reached AED 1.2 billion in 2018.
