Emirates FA Cup: Arsenal crash out as Man United and West Ham go to replay

Holders, Arsenal, are out of the Emirates FA Cup, after losing 2-1 to Watford in the quarter-finals. The Gunners, who’ve won the competition a record 12 times, went two goals down thanks to second-half strikes from Odion Ighalo and Adlene Guedioura. Danny Welbeck pulled one back for the hosts with two minutes remaining, and had a golden opportunity to level matters at the death but missed an open goal. Elsewhere, Anthony Martial struck late on to give Manchester United a 1-1 draw with West Ham United at Old Trafford. The French striker finished at the far post with seven minutes remaining, to cancel out Dimitri Payet’s majestic 68th minute free-kick. It means the sides will meet in a replay at the Boleyn Ground, in what will be the historic stadium’s final FA Cup tie before the Hammers move to London’s Olympic Stadium next season.
