In Italy, champions Juventus suffered their second loss from two games so far this season. The Old Lady went down 2-1 at Roma, and also ended the game with nine men after Rubinho and Evra saw red. Pjanic and Dzeko scored the goals for the hosts, with Dybala’s late strike proving to be just a consolation for Juve. Over in Spain, Atletico Madrid recorded an impressive 3-0 victory away at Europa League winners, Sevilla, thanks to goals from Koke, Gabi and new signing, Jackson Martinez. In France, meanwhile, Paris Saint Germain made it three wins out of three, with a commanding performance at Monaco. The Ligue 1 champions won 3-0, with an Edinson Cavani double and a late Ezequiel Lavezzi strike. Finally, in Germany, Borussia Dortmund retained top spot in the Bundesliga with a 3-1 win at Hertha Berlin, whilst Wolfsburg remain two points behind in third following their 2-1 home victory over Monchengladbach. Bayern Munich are in second after they beat Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 on Saturday.
