Meanwhile, FIFA has rejected appeals from former president Sepp Blatter, and suspended UEFA boss Michel Platini against bans from all football-related activity. FIFA - international football's governing body - has been mired in controversy over corruption and fraud. Five candidates will now attempt to win the post as Sepp Blatter's successor, in a vote in Zurich on Friday.
