Patrick Reed is a further two shots back, just ahead of Charl Schwartzel, Thongchai Jaidee and Rory McIlroy on 8-under. Meanwhile, it’s still all to play for in the Race to Dubai. There are just two shots separating McIlroy from his main challenger for the European Tour title, Danny Willet. McIlroy sunk six birdies and one bogey to card a second-round 68 at Jumeirah Golf Estates, with Willet signing for a score of 70 after hitting four birdies and two bogeys.
